NOTICE TO BIDDERS Notice is hereby given that sealed bids will be received by the Township of Hillsborough, Somerset County, New Jersey, for the Auten Road Phase I Improvements Project and opened and read in public in the Township of Hillsborough Court Room, 379 South Branch Rd, Hillsborough, New Jersey on Thursday, September 26, 2024 at 10:30 AM prevailing time. The work includes the furnishing of all labor, material, and equipment necessary or required to complete all work set forth in the specifications. The work generally consists of clearing site, surface course repair, pavement striping, concrete curbing, driveway apron repair, miscellaneous sidewalk repair, stormwater system repairs, and ADA compliant handicap ramps. Plans, Specifications, and forms of bid for the proposed work, prepared by Pennoni Associates, Inc., Consulting Engineers, are on file in the Township of Hillsborough Engineering Office, 379 South Branch Rd, N.J. 08844 and may be inspected by prospective bidders during normal business hours. Bidders will be furnished with a copy of the contract documents and plans by the Township of Hillsborough, upon proper notice and payment of a non-refundable copy cost of $50.00 payable to the Township of Hillsborough. Proposals must be made on the Standard Proposal Forms in a manner designated in the contract documents, must be enclosed in a sealed envelope bearing the name and address of the bidder and the name of the work on the outside and must be accompanied by all items identified in the Contract Documents including, but not limited to, a Statement of Consent of Surety from a surety company holding a Certificate of Authorization to do business in the State of New Jersey and a bid guarantee (Proposal Security) for not less than ten percent {10%) of the amount bid except that the guarantee need not exceed $20,000.00. The Township of Hillsborough reserves the right to consider the bids for sixty {60) days after the receipt thereof, and further reserves the right to reject any or all bids either in whole or in part and also to waive any informality in any and make such awards or take action as may be in the best interest of the Township of Hillsborough.
