PUBLIC NOTICE NOTICE BY THE EAST WINDSOR MUNICIPAL UTILITIES AUTHORITY REMOTE RATE HEARING ON WATER AND WASTEWATER CONNECTION FEES FOR 2024/2025 SCHEDULED FOR November 21, 2024 PUBLIC NOTICE is hereby given that the East Windsor Municipal Utilities Authority ("Authority") has scheduled a remote rate hearing for November 21, 2024, at 5:00 p.m. The Authority will consider amending its water and sewer connection fees at the hearing in accordance with the N J S.A 40:14B-1 et seq. All interested parties may appear and shall be given the opportunity to be heard. The Authority shall provide evidence at the hearing that proposed changes for the fees are necessary and reasonable, in compliance with all statutory requirements and are necessary to pay debt service on the Authority's recent upgrades to its facilities. At the hearing on November 21, 2024, an opportunity will be provided to cross-examine and question the Authority's staff concerning the evidence that they will present with regard to the proposed fees. A transcript of the hearing shall be made and a copy of it shall be available upon request to any interested party at a reasonable fee; or in lieu of providing a transcript of the hearing, the Authority may provide any interested party with a live recording of the hearing without cost to the interested party. At the rate hearing, the Authority will consider establishing as of December 1, 2024, a sewer connection fee charge of $6,715.00 and water connection fee charge of $3,235.00, which represent an overall increase of 2.58% or $85.00 for the sewer connection fee, 5.37% or $165.00 for the water connection fee over the previously established rates and fees.
