NOTICE OF HISTORIC PRESERVATION APPLICATION INCLUCING DEMOLITION PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that a public hearing will be held on Wednesday, January 8, 2025, starting at 5:00 pm, being a special meeting of the Princeton Historic Preservation Commission, at which time all interested persons will be given an opportunity to be heard. The meetings will take place at the Princeton Municipal Building, 400 Witherspoon Street, Princeton, New Jersey 08540, in the Main Council Chamber. If necessary, a second public hearing will be held on Thursday, January 9, also starting at 5:00 pm, again in the Main Council Chamber. The properties involved in the application are located at 114-120, 136-150, 184-186 and 204-206 Witherspoon Street and 7 Quarry Street and are designated on the Princeton tax maps as Block 1702, Lots 53 and 54; Block 17.03, Lots 85.01, 86 and 87.01; block 15.01, Lots 27, 28, and 82; and Block 1.03, Lot 87.01, respectively, all being located in the AHO-7 affordable housing overlay zone. The applicant intends to leave the facades of the various street-facing buildings in place and to construct behind them additional housing units, parking and related accessory features. Portions of the rear of certain of the existing buildings will be removed so as to attach new structures to them, while two buildings will be entirely demolished.
